Nothing stupid about Veterans Day. Maybe stupid to not celebrate the holiday on a Mon or Fri.

2 days until expansion and servers are down all day. yay for not being able to play!

Just wait till thursday. I remember reading the warcraft forums the day of the BC launch and it was mostly people who took a sick day from work complaining because 90% of the population did and the servers kept crashing. Hope this isn't like that or this weekend will be impossible to play.
