How did you hear about us?
Saw a few of the members in game and they seemed to be nice people. I needed a guild to raid with so I looked into it.

What aspect(s) of the game is your main focus?
I joined the game in early October 2010 so I haven't really done much at-level end-game content but raiding is my focus. I've done a few old world raids post cata since I was 78 when Cataclysm hit the servers.

Are you applying to be a Social or Raiding member?
Tentative raiding member. I have a part-time job that varies but is usually late saturdays and sundays and a robotics team that is 3-6PM CST Tues.-Thurs. and 9am-1pm Saturdays.

Have you read and understood our guild charter? Any comments regarding it?
Yep. Under the scheduling section it says that all members are allowed to create events as long as they aren't progression raids. So this means I could for example make an ICC10 event but not a BoT10 event correct?

What is your interest in joining Exodus, and why do you believe you're a good candidate?
TL;DR: I was in a bad guild, transfered to Cairne, haven't felt that communal guild experience since, and I'm a pretty decent player and tank.
I played on a trial account back in Vanilla but I could never get into it because I didn't know anyone. Last October my group in the League of Legends chapter of my old guild suggested I start playing World of Warcraft. I tried the trial again and they said that I wouldn't get the full experience until I started actually playing with them. So I irrationally bought up to WotLK and started playing with my guild. It was a great time and I felt at home with the members of the guild. However, slowly but surely I realized that our guild master was not exactly the most fond of me for whatever reason. When he asked for an extra DPS to fill the last slot of 25-man Throne of the Four Winds, I said I would gladly go to help the guild, but warned him I would only get around 7-8k DPS. To this he responded, "Fine, you can come. But you won't get loot. If anything for Death Knight drops, it goes to <Other DK DPS in guild>." Of course, I wasn't able to just say "Nope, I'm not going to go," because I was afraid that if I did say that I would be removed from the guild and have no where to go. So after our second attempt at the council, with me at #17 on the DPS charts, he said flat out in raid chat that I was being removed from the raid to make way for another raider. This was the last straw for me and I formulated a plan to leave with 3 other guild members. Only 2 of the 4 of us actually moved servers, the other 2 stayed with the guild. The other guild member and I formed up <Three if by Zeppelin> and started recruiting. I was expecting to be raiding by now, which I realize was way to high of an expectation. But the issue came when the acting guild master, the person I formed the guild with, began to stop playing the game as much. So then I realized that I missed the old community of an active guild, and 19 characters (12 of which being alts) just can't cut it. So I began to look for a new guild, and stumbled upon Exodus. I wanted to apply because I see the members of Exodus around a lot, and they are usually grouped up, so it shows a good sense of teamwork. Yet I believe I would be a good candidate for the guild because I'm decent at playing my class, and tanking with it, and I'm generally a nice person to be around. Sorry for the long read...

Are there any Exodus members you know who can speak on your behalf?
Not that I know of. I may have grouped with one or two of them but I cannot remember.

Have you been in any other guilds on Cairne?
Only my startup guild Three If By Zeppelin

Have you ever leveled other characters to 80?
No.

Can your system handle 25-man raiding reliably?
Yes, easily.

What kind of raid/end game experience do you have (be specific)?
Not much really. I've downed Argaloth twice but that really doesn't count. I've been in Throne of the Four Winds and Blackwing Descent but haven't downed any of the bosses. I did ICC10 with a group right after I hit 85, downed Lich King after 5 hours.

What is your play schedule like? Can you consistently meet our 25-man raid times?
I play most weekdays from 7-10pm cst, weekends 1-10pm, work schedule permitting. I do have a part time job at McDonalds and I am on the robotics team at my school so those cut in on my playing times but are usually on Saturdays and Sundays

Thanks for reviewing my application, sorry for any long reads. And just to add, that wasn't the only reason I left my old guild if it seems I only rage quit due to that raid, the GM had more hostility toasted me but that was the most prominent and memorable occasion. Thanks.

Horn of Winter - Bone Shield - Icy Touch - Dark Simulacrum* - Death Strike - Heart Strike - Rune Strike - Emergency Buttons - Dancing Rune Weapon - Outbreak - etc.
Emergencies in order of use: Extra Death Strikes - Runetap - Vampiric Blood - Anti-Magic Shell - Earthen Guardian - Lichborne - Ghoul - Death Pact - Ice Bound Fortitude - Mirror
2. What is your rotation for aoe pulls?
Horn of Winter - Death and Decay - Death Grip (If any ranged)/Strangulate(If can't death grip, death grip fails, etc.) - Blood Boil - Death Strike - Heart Strike - Dancing Rune Weapon - Outbreak - Pestilence - Runestrike - Death Strike - Repeat with thrown in Mind Freezes, Necrotic Strikes, and Ghoul/AotD when needed.
3. What do you think your most important stat is as a blood tank in Cata?
Mastery hands down. Blood shield is the best thing a blood tank can have up at any time and with the 4.0.6 buff to it stacking instead of replacing, it's only getting better.
4. Which piece of gear do you think is your worst?
My bracers are my only piece of 333 gear and don't give any mastery so I would say thats my worst gear.
5. Do you use an addon to track rune CD's if so which one?
I did until my recent reinstall. I had the LUI addon pack which includes Facade to show how long until runes are off cooldown. However, OmniCC works almost as well as Facade for runes since I can just look at Icy Touch for my next frost rune, Heart Strike for my next blood rune, and Necrotic Strike for my next unholy rune.
6. There is some talk of disease-less tanking being the way to go in Cata, what are your thoughts on that?
As an Unholy DPS I see diseases as the best thing a Death Knight can do. However as a Blood Tank I see them as an after thought. I can't say I go completely disease-less as I usually throw up an Icy Touch or Chains of Ice to start off a fight and control attack speed when I need to. Yet while tanking, the best way I have found to control multiple aggro targets at once is Dancing Rune Weapon - Outbreak - Pestilence. Other than those two I never really use diseases because threat really isn't an issue.
