Did you know the warlock 4set proc has no internal cooldown and the 4set is bis for warlocks?

Why do you drain soul at 25%? I have never read to do that. Both Warlock's Den and Elitist Jerks says to spam soul fire starting at 35% till the boss is dead. Drain soul is what afflic locks do at 25%.

And the general rule of thumb when gemming for locks is to gem for the socket bonus if it's 7 spell power or higher.

Yes I know it doesnt have a CD just wasnt sure how often it procs really...And yes I know I "should" have the 4pc set like I said in my earlier post thats just the way my gear worked out. And once we downed LK I really had no motivation to keep running reg-icc or trying to look for 25m pugs that cant even get past fester or rot. I really havent ran a full ICC on my lock in over 2 months.

I use drain soul sometimes under 25% because it does 4x's the damage...and with crits Ill see 15k hits every tick with it. Like i said alot of the time I do spam Soul fires till they die, I guess i like to mix it up sometimes.

And being honest you also have to look at from a player coming from a guild like BK (casual raiding guild)...I was never pushed or saw hard enough content to really want to tweak my gear for the ultimate max dps...I was always #1 on recount for DPS and overall damage, the highest geared in the guild and I guess I just settled for what I had. You kind of get in a rut running icc everyweek and stopping at 6/12 bosses. Might not sound good for me but it is what it is. This is the reason im applying for Exodus...I want to be pushed, I want to have a reason to work on my toon and tweak out those last 2-300dps.

And finally, yes I know the general rule of thumb is to gem for +7 sp or higher. but the 2 yellow sockets in my gloves I preferred to get the extra SP, and I admitted to being lazy on my legs. :)

Thanks

I'm still a bit confused by your glyph choices. Last I checked on Warlock's Den, the best major glyphs to take are Glyph of Felguard, Glyph of Quick Decay, and Glyph of Life Tap. I saw your explanation for why you have the glyphs you do, but why have you chosen them over Quick Decay and Life Tap?

Also, your haste is pretty low. Wouldn't you benefit more from black magic on your weapon than +63 spell power?

And I apologize if it sounds like I'm picking on you. My main is the only demo lock in the guild and I have been wanting to go affliction but did not want to leave the guild without a demo lock. So if you were to be accepted, I'd like to know me switching specs won't hurt the raids dps.

Nah its no problem I understand the reason for all the questions...and I have to admit after getting all these questions tossed at me I also have second thoughts about a few of my choices. Which is a good thing. Ive never really had anyone pick over my toon like this lol.

From what ive read in the past is that for over 600 haste the life tap glyph is a better choice, obviously im a little under that so the Immolate glyph will give me more DPS plus free up one GCD to be able to cast another spell. **(edit after typing my reply about black magic enchant..now thinking about what I said below...life tap might be a better choice cause again it will buff up my DPS whoch in turn will help out the raid also..I will also do some tests on this)

As far as my choice with the corruption glyph, that is probably a mistake even though the instant cast shadow bolts are nice I would probably do a little more dps with the quick decay...Im actually going to do some tests on the dummies after this post with my current glyph and then with quick decay. well see what the outcome is.

And as far as chanting my weapon with black magic, Ive always gone with the rule of thumb that the stat priorities are Hit Rating -> Spell Power -> Haste -> Crit -> Spirit. Especially with Demo spec and Demonic pact, the more SP I have will benefit the raid as a whole more then me chanting for haste to up my own DPS. **(see above)

I must say its kind of nice to be questioned and sort of pushed to rethink about my choices... regardless if I get accepted or not this experience will change the way I make my gear/chant/gem decisions in the future.

Thanks again!

nice app! i see that u havnt raided in a guild on the reg ''i know what that can be like '' if u where to be acepted and have the oportunity to raid on the reg free from pug life what ''as a percentage'' would your raid attendance and commitment be ?. Considering we dont have an attendance policy and rely on our members to attend and keep a consistant performance on a personal level without fear of being removed from the guild.we need ppl to show up every sceduled raid, prepared to kick some ass and have some fun! :D

I’m available Monday thru Friday 6:30pm till at least 12am server time, although Most of the time im on later then that.

Weekends are a little iffy for me, I usually spend them with my GF since we don’t get to see each other much during the week due to the distance. We kind of have that agreement. I get WoW M-F and the weekends are her time lol. There are some times I will be online over the weekend. When I sign up for a raid, be it M-F or a weekend raid, I will be there. I’m not one to sign up and not show up.

I know alot of guilds run on the weekends but with the new raid lock out Blizz just introduced. Having one raid share both the 10/25 lockout, running one raid a week might free up some of the weekend runs...I guess time will tell.

Thanks again!
