Hey folks - tonight was my first ICC run with the guild, and my first run through a lot of the ICC content. Some of the fights I know, some I need to study some vids on. I'm on it. Just before we hit the "princes", though, I got about a half dozen whispers all at once; I didn't have time to give each one much more than an "ok" to acknowledge it. So I thought I'd respond here in the forums, just to avoid any redundancy:
- Why am I stacking +16 STR gems in 250+ gear? Because when I took on a Fury spec, all the guides screamed about stacking STR, so that's what I did. However, +16 STR was what I could afford. Buying +20's off the AH is out of my budget most of the time, and my alt JC doesn't have the +20 cut yet. Couple days down the road my JC will have the cut, I can buy the gems with badges, and voila, I'll have +20 STR. At least four or five to start with.
- Why don't I stack Armor Penetration? Again, I was relying on guides for my Fury spec, all of which said to not focus on ArP, that after expertise, hit and attack power, ArP was just icing. I do know the value of ArP; in my previous Arms spec I stacked for it, and had about 77% penetration, before sunder armor effects. I gave up all of those ArP gems for STR gems, however. I'm open to suggestions on the topic.
- Why am I using Chromium's Coaster? Because for a 200 trinket it rocks. It always seems to trigger, and the 200 rating is an egregious under value. Once I have some more frost badges, maybe I'll replace it with the 264 War Token. Maybe. Probably, but it'll feel like pulling teeth.
- Thanks for all the feasts! No problem. I tend to keep at least a full stack on me for no other purpose than guild raids. I do a lot of fishing, so it doesn't cost me a copper. ...But still no turtle mount.
