so. I'm just starting a list, want some input.
I've raided up to Brutallus, and seen the different addons out there, everyone has their own flavor. Figured I'd post what I use, and see what others use. I need a change of pace.

I use the default UI, no xperl or pitbullh ere.
I run the following addons
MobInfo- shows me HP of targets.
AlphaMap- a transparent map when i mouseover it
Quartz- An amazing cast timer to adjust for latency and swing timers for anything not dualwielding
Outfitter- like Itemrack, or any other gear changing addon
Recount- DPS meter, along with a dozen other entertaining little things (healing done, friendly fire done, and such)
Omen- I technically have it up, but i don't actually have it showing. >.>

I finally picked up group calendar. hehe haven't played wtih it much. Also have bigwigs, but usually disable it out of annoyance.

for paladins, PallyPower is an amazing buff tracking addon for who has been assigned to buff what classes with what blessing.
for raid leaders and assistants.... BigBrother is just awesome to track who is buffed, broke CC, or whatever.

So what do you use?

Also, for healers/those who dispel, I've found that Decursive is fantastic. It lets you know who has something that you can dispel on them, and then you can dispel it away with one click!

As a hunter, I've found that Karthas's hunter timers is a wonderful addon. I probably misspelled the first word, but oh well. Basically, it's a bunch of timers. Kind of like if you lay down an ice trap, you'll see a countdown of how long it has to live, and when a mob steps into it, you'll see how long that trap has. It comes in handy, I swear!

For a timers addon, I suggest NECB, Natur Enemy Caster Bar. It'll track everything from your own timers and durations to how long spring is on cooldown for that rogue you've been camping. Very useful

I use too many addons, I really need to thin it out.

Raiding:
Omen
Deadly Boss Mod
Healbot (for the rare occasion I heal)

Other:
Titan Panel, also have my ui scaled down
recount
auctioneer advanced
necrosis (on crucia)
Lightheaded

and some more, I just can't think straight yet this morning.

I use the basics: Cartographer which i like the best out of the map addons, questhelper: which is known to be annoyingly glitchy but it gets the job done..matches well with cartographer waypoints. Omen, annnd i think thats about it. While we are on the subject what does Xperl actually do somthing about unitframes or somthin like that?

The built-in one doesn't fly with certain raid roles.

Example: Boss wipes threat on main tank, offtank has to remain 2nd on the list.

The built-in threat meter only tells you how much aggro (in a %) you have on a target, no where you fall on his aggro list.

"Why am I a Druid? So that I can let any person in
the raid know that I'm only
5 seconds away from
being
better at their job than they are."
